These terms of use govern access to and use of the Congrès Bamiléké Canada 2026 website, operated by BINAM CANADA — Pan-Canadian Bamileke Association. By accessing the site, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these terms.

This document is a template. Before official publication, have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel in the applicable jurisdiction (Province of Quebec, Canada).

Purpose

The site presents the congress, its schedule, speakers and partners, and allows online registration as well as the purchase of related merchandise.

Access to the site

Access to the site is free. Internet access, connection and equipment costs remain your responsibility. We strive to keep the site available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

Congress registration

Registration is confirmed once full payment has been received. Tickets are nominative and cannot be resold without our written consent. Valid photo ID may be requested at check-in.

Pricing, payment and invoicing

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes (Province of Quebec, Canada). Payment is processed online through a secure provider. A confirmation and a receipt are automatically issued by email.

Cancellation and refund

The following cancellation terms apply unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase:

• Cancellation more than 30 days before the event: full refund, excluding processing fees.
• Cancellation between 30 and 7 days before: 50% refund.
• Cancellation less than 7 days before, or no-show: no refund.
• If the event is cancelled by the organizer, a full refund or a postponement will be offered.

Any refund request must be sent by email to contact@cbc.local.

Shop and merchandise

Products offered in the shop are sold while stocks last. Delivery times and fees are indicated at the time of order. Returns are accepted within 14 days for non-personalized products in new condition.

On-site conduct

Participants agree to respect other participants, speakers and the organizing team. Any violent or discriminatory behavior, or behavior contrary to the values of the congress, will result in immediate exclusion without refund.

Intellectual property

All content on the site (texts, images, logos, videos, layouts) is protected by copyright. Any reproduction, representation or distribution without prior authorization is prohibited.

Content produced during the congress (talks, photos, video recordings) may be captured. By participating, you authorize the recording and the non-commercial distribution of your image as part of the event’s promotion, unless you submit a written request to the contrary to contact@cbc.local.

Liability

Information on the site is provided for guidance only. We strive to ensure its accuracy but cannot be held responsible for errors, omissions or unavailability. Our liability is limited to the amount of the ticket purchased.

Links to third-party sites

The site may contain links to third-party sites (partner hotels, payment providers, video platforms). We have no control over these sites and decline all responsibility for their content and practices.

Personal data

The processing of your personal information is described in our privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms at any time. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of your registration or purchase. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law in force in the Province of Quebec, Canada. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
